Giving out business gifts can be a sticky situation. Just about any company of size will have a rule list to go by. There are certain limits to what people can accept. Having to ask about those issues can be uncomfortable and time consuming. All you need to do is get some clarity on what is the norm in these situations. That way there will be no problem when you get a big order of the same item to give out. It is standard practice with most firms, to have limits and acceptable gifts. If you pay attention to the guidelines listed it will make the process easier.

Generally speaking, a great number of companies have a gift acceptance policy that is based on nominal value. Nominal value is pretty much anything between $25 and $50. Annually you should not go over $100. If this happens several things may occur. The item will be quickly returned, company management will have a pow wow about it, or sometimes it will be confiscated my management. None of those are in line with your goals when giving the present.

These companies consider many types of things to be gifts. If you buy the meal or provide a cab, you have given a gift. A room for the night or a gift certificate is also a gift. Cash of course and tickets to a play, concert, or game is too. Any type of service that someone outside of both businesses perform would be counted. And don't forget if you give a rebate or a discount, that would fall into the gift category as well.

Employees are always prohibited from soliciting gifts from any person or firm currently doing business or seeking to do business with their organization. You should think carefully before ordering a gift that was requested by someone outside of your firm.

Those guidelines should keep you out of trouble and into the good graces where you want to be. The bigger the company the more formal the rules are about such matters. Small places are generally more lenient but still have ideas that they go by. If you are within the rules then you will reap the benefits rather than have your gifts and bad feelings tossed back at you.

You can use promotional clothing to give as fabulous gifts. There's loads of different promotional gifts to choose from.
