If you are a fan of Harry Potter, you are probably a fan since the very first book release. They continued to fall more and more in love with him after each book and movie release. There are lines formed for new movies, and book stores sold out of copies as soon as their doors opened. It is one of the most publicized and fan frenzy series in the world.

This summer has brought with it Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince to the big screen and with it a mix of fans both old and new. Some of us have been with Harry since we first picked up our first Harry Potter book and some have joined the fan club with all the hype that has followed.

Some take the black magic of the movies a bit too far, but it is difficult to figure out what it is that is causing this type of stir amongst children. Is it the magic that has children who refuse to read picking up a Harry Potter book and reading it cover to cover or is it that the character himself is someone that they can relate to?

This latest film in the Harry Potter series, is a little less intense then the previous movies. It is slow paces and has the characters preoccupied with snogging and butter beer. It deals with the relationships of characters and is meant to be a lead into the final film in the Harry Potter series. The final film will brake the book into two parts and is scheduled to release in 2011.

No matter what your take on the focus of the Harry Potter series, you can not deny that the writing and the acting stands out among the best. Other people criticize the films because the actors who portray the popular characters are aging faster then the characters that they are protraying. If you are a fan of the series, however, you do not care about this fact, you just want to continue seeing the characters that we have watched grown, portrayed by the actors we have watched grown, as well.

Although it is not available for pre-order yet, you should keep an eye out for this opportunity. The DVD and Blu Ray versions are set to hit store shelves on December 7th and with this release date so close to the holidays, it is probably a good idea to pre-order it as it will be a very popular item for all the little witches, warlocks and wizards this year.
