Why The Nike Campaign Works So Well

How is it that something so simple in advertising can become so big? One simple, very simple phrase that really has nothing to do with anything and yet if you say Just Do It, everyone automatically thinks NIKE. It is the same thing that makes you see their swoosh logo and think Nike.

Now many would argue that Nike has a large advertising budget and that is why there products are so recognizable, but if that was the case why doesn't Microsoft have that type of advertising? The thing that Nike has done that other businesses have not is that they have taken very simple things about their business and they have beaten them into the heads of millions of people.

People heard the Nike slogan so many times and in so many ways. It even was mentioned on popular TV shows and talk shows because it was such a big campaign. You really need money for that size of campaign, but doing it smaller yourself is not impossible. If the main ingredient is a saying and repetition then why can't you do the same in your neighborhood? It can be done scaled down.

If you figure out a good logo, then it is a good start. It can be a saying or an image. Nike had both and they were simple and strong. If you come up with something that is short and to the point. It should relate in some way to your business. This helps people remember. Make sure no one has used your saying before or is using it now. Put the ideas you have on an online search and see what comes up.

Then take that logo and print it on everything you sell, every item in your store. Make your employees wear it. Have it imprinted on your store sign, store windows and racks. Take every opportunity to purchase promotional products with your custom logo on it. Use it on the bags and gift boxes so that when people walk around with them they will be helping to provide you with increased exposure. If you see a Nike symbol you know what they are about, so create that same impression on others with your own custom logo and you will find that business will be stronger than ever. JUST DO IT.

Your new slogan should be placed on loads of promotional items . You could use promotional caps for employee uniforms and as a lovely customer giveaway.
