Keifer Sutherland is so good in 24. If you watched it from the beginning then you probably like season 7 a lot. There was all sorts of new issues that came about from the move to DC that were totally unexpected. The acting is as good as it always has been and the plot becomes as thick as mud. It is a good season, a big improvement from the antics on season 6.
Now not only did Fox get this item on the shelves in record speed, but it absolutely must be noted that this DVD set is amazing. Not only for the content of the show itself but because of the packaging that they used. Normally DVD sets that are six or seven discs are bulky, but this set is in the smallest most secure casing I have yet to see to date. The set contains 6 discs and the case is about the size of one standard DVD case.
They stuck the extra stuff on several discs instead of using a whole disc alone for it. That seems smart to me. Sometimes after sitting through an entire disc, you just don't want the fun to end. I want more of my show and the people on it that I have become so accustomed to. The commentary on a few of the discs satisfies my curiosity, and the musical score is cool to have.
The bonuses and packaging are just extras, because with or without them this is a DVD set that is a must have. It is a wonderfully thought out DVD set and perhaps they would have added more features if they had held off on releasing it, but I am sure fans appreciated their due diligence on getting this incredible set out in the hands of the public asap. Whether you watched the whole season or are just now getting into 24, be sure to pick up 24 Season 7, you will not be disappointed.
