You need to get some good stuff to hand to people at the next tradeshow that you get a booth at. You want to attract attendees to your table and give them a reason to remember your company. It is a really good idea to ask others what attracted them to certain tables and not others. For some it will be simple interest in the product that they are exhibiting. Some will walk up to a smiling face. Other people will zoom straight to the tables with the best stuff.

Some popular trade show items get a bit overdone sometimes. You think it is a good idea to have some water bottles or some snacks because people get busy and there are not always places to drink. If everyone is giving them out though, they don't work so good for marketing. That's why if you ask people what stands out you may get some better ideas. they may have better ideas.

Pens kind of fall into the same category. Promotional pens have just become something we have grown to expect, although unlike the water bottles, they will at least be used, passed on and hung onto. The water bottles will quickly become trash, so their advertising effect is slightly more limited.

If you are determined to give people something to eat or drink the come up with reusable packaging. You could have portable coffee stations set up. They have these that are loaded with flavored fancy coffee drinks. Now, if you get some of those insulated travel mugs that look good and have your company info on the side people will get excited. They can walk up and get fresh hot flavored drinks all day long. You will have the most popular table there.

If you want to get some new contacts then you might want to get a table at an industry event in your area. These are good spots to meet new people in related fields because they are geared toward specific things. You won't find a car dealership at a fantasy watercraft convention. You will find businesses and people that are interested in goals similar to yours. With some good promo items to pull people in you will do good.

Promotional products are what will attract people to your tradeshow area. People need good conference folders and will be happy to get them from you.
