Going away to school for the first time is really awesome. You have a lot of little things to remember to do and get for your room and school. For students that have been preparing for college through all their years of high school the beginning classes may be stuff that you have taken already to some degree. There are even some programs where above average high school kids can take a class here and there while still in high school. Regardless, it is always better to prepare any way you can. If you can test out of any prerequisites and move straight on to more juicy subjects that is always nice.

They have a lot of resources available to the students to help them stay healthy. Usually there are clinic facilities on campus which is very convenient. Remember to discuss these options with your parents before going off to school. You will want to take care of everything that you can before going just to make life a little easier.
