Anyone who is in business today can feel what is going on with the economy today. It is tough right now, and everyone is feeling it. A lot of different places have had to shut down. Some places are trying some new things to do what they can and open new doors for themselves. New things to bring in new business.

One method of advertising that successful business owners are finding works well in a slowing economy is promotional product advertising. They are getting online and ordering those promotional products with their logo imprinted on them and they are finding that they can use these items to stimulate referrals, increase employee retention and to achieve higher sales. One thing is for sure, promotional products work great in many different ways throughout your business and what makes them an incredible idea when people are hurting financially is that you give them out absolutely free.

Free is something that people who are strapped are really attracted to. Promotional products can be promoted as free gifts and people will be glad to take them and use them. As they use them they will serve as a constant reminder to others and to themselves about your business and this will draw them to you.

No hard sell technique can work like this subtle form of advertising. In a financial crunch people don't want to be pushed to spend their money, but this softer form of advertising can go a long way. You give them a nice, useful item and you don't ask for anything in return. Sure they know that it has your logo on it, but you are not trying to coerce them into buying so it is very non-threatening. And when they think of your business they will think only of that nice item that they got from you. They will not have negative associations with a pushy business that forced them to buy something that they didn't want.

When times are tough, people are so happy to get something nice and useful. A nice design that also has a logo and a business name will only add to the product is it is done well.

Something handy, such as printed flash drives are attractive to customers. You can use pretty printed umbrellas to get attention and as gifts.
