Of all the reasons that people consider a job with the government a good position, having health insurance coverage is at the top of the list. If you have ever priced out what your insurance would cost to buy it on your own, you should understand how expensive it is. For the most part the three plans available are pretty basic and are the same for most carriers.
For the lowest possible monthly payment you can sign up with a high deductible health plan. This will give you a small monthly premium and a deductible at $1500 at least. Having a plan like this qualifies you for a health savings account which can be a serious money saver. It allows you to save directly from your pay before it is taxed.
For the most complete coverage, you will have to pay a considerably higher monthly premium. The co-payment is usually higher too. For hospital stays though, there is a lot more coverage. It pays more than any other plan for time in the hospital.
The care that most people get is from coverage that is somewhere in between. This is the type of plan that works out well for people that have children. Mainly because kids need to spend time at the doctors on a regular basis. The premium is something that most families can handle.
For individuals that live in the state , decent Florida health insurance is simple to find. A search online will get you a couple quick health insurance quotes with no problem at all.
