Brisbane is the capital of the Australian region of Queensland and is the fastest growing city in Australia today. Brisbane has an impressive collection of things to see and do and tourists should plan their trips so that they can do as many things as possible.
Close by to Brisbane are some spots that are packed with different attractions. Many people find shopping a great way to spend time. You are in luck if this sounds like you. You can go to over 700 stores in the Queen Street Mall. When you have shopped your feet to pieces you can then pick one of the many restaurants to sit down and have a great meal. If you have any energy left after that then you will be able either hit a movie or go to the Grand Casino.
For something upscale and special, go to the Paddington or Milton area. There are lovely boutiques there with plenty of designer and one of a kind items. Suncorp Stadium is the spot to catch some big name concerts or watch a game, if that suits your fancy. If you were unaware, there is a Chinatown in Brisbane. It has it's own unique attractions and you can stay busy there until dawn.
The are known as Portside Wharf is where all the tourists from the cruise ships go. There are tons of little spots here to buy all kinds of souvenirs. If you are a fan of flowers you will want to go to New Farm Park and see the hundreds of rosebush varieties. Lastly you will want to check out the artsy district of West End. This is the place to go for wonderful organic food and hard to find oddball items, like rare books.
